Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of this website.

Informational Purpose Only

This website is published by KVasquez Law, PLLC for general information about the firm and the areas of law in which it practices. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and nothing on it is a promise or guarantee about the outcome of any matter.

The law changes, and how it applies depends on the specific facts of a situation and on the state in which that situation arises. Pages on this site describe general principles and typical procedures. They are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer who has reviewed your documents and your facts. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything you read here without speaking to a lawyer.

Where this site states a deadline, a fee, a procedure or a rule, it states what is generally true as of the date of publication. Deadlines in particular vary by court, by case type and by state, and the only reliable deadline is the one stated in the papers you were served with.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this site, submitting a form, booking a consultation, sending an email, sending a text message or calling the office. An attorney-client relationship with the firm begins only when the firm has completed a conflict-of-interest check and you and the firm have signed a written engagement letter that identifies the scope of the work and the fee.

Until that engagement letter is signed, the firm is not your lawyer, is not monitoring any deadline in your matter and is not responsible for taking any action on your behalf. If you have a court date or a response deadline, it continues to run whether or not you have contacted the firm.

Do Not Send Confidential Information Yet

Please do not send confidential or sensitive details until the firm has confirmed there is no conflict of interest. Information you send before the firm has cleared a conflict check and accepted the engagement may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege, and may not prevent the firm from representing another party in the same matter.

When you first make contact, send only what is needed to describe your situation at a general level: the type of matter, the state it is in, and any deadline you are aware of. Text messages are not a secure channel; never send confidential documents, account numbers or identification numbers by text.

Jurisdictions

Karina A. Vasquez, Esq. is admitted to practice in Florida, North Carolina and the District of Columbia. The firm does not practice in, and does not give advice on the law of, jurisdictions where it is not admitted, except where that jurisdiction's rules permit it or in association with local counsel.

This site is not an offer to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where the firm is not authorized to practice. Describing a matter located elsewhere does not mean the firm can take it.

Fees and Published Prices

Where this site publishes a flat fee or a monthly fee, that figure is the fee for the scope of work described next to it, as of the date of publication, and it is subject to a conflict check and a signed engagement letter. Court costs, filing fees, service-of-process fees, recording fees and similar third-party costs are not included in a published fee unless the page says so expressly.

A fee quoted for one matter does not set the fee for another. Matters outside the described scope, and litigation generally, are quoted separately.

Intellectual Property

The text, page design, layout, graphics, logo and arrangement of this site are owned by the firm and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, print and share pages of this site for your own personal or internal business use. You may not republish, sell, scrape, systematically copy or use any part of this site to train a machine learning model without the firm's written permission.

"KVasquez Law" and the firm's logo are the trade name and mark of KVasquez Law, PLLC.

Third-Party Links and Services

This site links to third-party websites, and it embeds third-party services for consultation scheduling, mapping, analytics and advertising measurement. The firm does not control those sites or services, does not endorse their content, and is not responsible for their availability, their accuracy or their privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

No Warranty

This site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The firm does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that the site or its server is free of harmful components, or that the information on the site is complete, current or accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the firm disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the firm nor Karina A. Vasquez, Esq. will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of your access to or use of this site, your inability to use it, or your reliance on anything published on it, whether the claim is based in contract, tort, strict liability or any other theory, and whether or not the firm was advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or under the rules of professional conduct.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms of Use, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and the firm agree that the exclusive venue for any such dispute is the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to These Terms

The firm may revise these Terms of Use at any time by posting a revised version on this page. The effective date below shows when they were last revised, and your continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised terms.

Effective date: October 15, 2026. Questions should go to Karina A. Vasquez, Esq., KVasquez Law, PLLC, 1200 Brickell Avenue, Suite 1950, Miami, Florida 33131, legal@kvasquezlaw.com or (305) 359-7522.
