The measure of a firm is who comes back

Estate plans that held. Collectors who could not prove their case. Companies that stopped guessing. In their words.

About Us

Three credentials that rarely appear together, in the one city where all three matter

Most firms make you choose. The transactional lawyer does not handle the IRS. The tax lawyer does not draft your operating agreement. The estate planner has never structured cross-border ownership, and the one who has does not work in Spanish.

In Miami, where a large share of ownership, family and counterparties operate across two countries and two languages, those gaps are not academic. They are where the money goes.

KVasquez Law was built to close them. A Georgetown Law education. Admission in Florida, North Carolina and the District of Columbia. Federal tax representation nationwide. And every matter, from the first call to the closing document, handled in whichever language the client actually thinks in.

Your Attorney

Meet Karina Vasquez

Attorney and Founder

She was trained where federal tax and business law are written, and she practices where they collide.

Georgetown University Law Center sits four blocks from the Capitol and two miles from the IRS. Its graduate tax program is the most cited in the country. That is where Karina Vasquez learned the material most attorneys pick up secondhand, and it is why her practice starts from the federal code rather than around it.

She began in large-firm practice, where the work is complex, the review is unforgiving, and nothing leaves the building unchecked. She kept the standard and left the structure, because the clients she wanted to serve were the ones large firms bill hardest and serve last.

Today she is admitted in Florida, North Carolina and the District of Columbia, and holds an active IRS authorization permitting federal tax representation in all fifty states. She serves as General Counsel to a private equity firm and as Partner and General Counsel to Forman Capital Partners, a nationwide commercial capital advisory firm, where she handles structuring, diligence and closing counsel on commercial finance transactions.

Most owners at this level end up retaining three lawyers. One to paper the company. One to answer the IRS. One to write the estate plan. They bill separately, they rarely speak to one another, and the space between them is where the expensive problems live.

Karina covers all three from a single file, in English or in Spanish. Nothing gets lost in the handoff, because there is no handoff.

Business owners tend to notice that their attorney has sat on the other side of a closing table. Families tend to notice that she answers the phone herself.
