Founding attorney of KVasquez Law. Georgetown Law. Licensed in Florida, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Karina Vasquez, Esq. is the founder of KVasquez Law, a boutique Brickell-based firm representing individuals, families, and closely-held businesses across Florida in estate planning, tax law, business formation, and merchant cash advance defense. Every matter is handled personally by Karina from intake to final signature. No junior associate layer, no intake coordinator, no chain of handoffs.
Karina earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, where she built a strong foundation in corporate, international, and federal tax law. While at Georgetown, she served as a Student Attorney representing tenants in the D.C. Landlord and Tenant Court. She launched her career at a large international law firm, then moved to a national firm where she advised Fortune 500 companies on sophisticated transactional matters across multiple practice areas. Earlier in her career she also gained hands-on tax practitioner experience at TurboTax and H&R Block, giving her a frontline understanding of federal individual and small-business taxation that informs her practice to this day. She went on to found her own practice in Miami's Brickell corridor, where she advises clients on tax strategy, estate planning, business formation, and debt defense.
Karina has been recognized as a Google Legal Scholar, an honor reserved for legal innovators thinking ahead of where the profession is going.
In addition to her own practice, Karina currently serves as General Counsel to a private equity firm, advising on deal structuring, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and execution at the institutional level. She is also a Partner at Forman Capital Partners, a nationwide commercial capital advisory firm, where she leads legal review on every transaction. Karina is additionally a licensed Florida REALTOR® affiliated with Avanti Way Realty in Doral, giving her direct transactional perspective on residential and commercial real estate matters. That combination of big-firm Fortune 500 work, private practice ownership, in-house PE counsel experience, active commercial capital advisory practice, and real estate licensure gives her a perspective very few Brickell attorneys can match.
Karina takes a consultative approach with every client. She breaks down terms, structure, and tradeoffs in clear language so the client fully understands their position before committing. She is fluent in English and Spanish at full professional level, and frequently represents bilingual clients and families in matters where comfort with both languages is critical. Tax and estate law is technical enough without language friction layered on top.
At the negotiating table, Karina pushes for better terms, challenges conditions that don't serve the client, and stays engaged through every stage of the matter. Whether the work is drafting an irrevocable trust, negotiating an IRS Offer in Compromise, defending against a confession of judgment, or building a new business from the ground up the standard is the same: every document, every position, every signature reviewed personally.
Initial consultations are complimentary and held in strict confidence. Most matters can be clarified in a twenty-minute introductory call. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
